The Shins have posted an unusual video online

Could this be a clue to their next album

The Shins have posted a fairly mysterious, and equally spooky, video online.

Whilst the band have fans at the edge of their seats waiting for new material, the band appear to be teasing.

The video, which is fitting with the leadup to Halloween, shows a strange melee of clips of toy sized towns being crushed by some fashionable Vans.

Just to top it off, the band leave speculation rife, with the words, "I Gleek On Your Grave", being the closing credits.

It could be the name of their next album, it could just be them winding us all up, all we know, is that the monologue that features in the background is not one for the faint-hearted.

Excitement around the band's new material was ramped up earlier this year, as The Shins shared a short clip of a new track called, 'The Fear'.

But all wonder from fans can be laid to rest, as the new album is expected early next year.

Singer, James Mercer, recently said in an interview: “I’m really excited about this record. I think we’ve got something that Shins fans will really love, and I think there are some other things on there that are different enough.”

It would appear that everything for The Shins, and their fans, is falling into place.
