Ice Cube's career takes yet another turn for the weirder, as he is set to star in Disney's adaptation of Oliver Twist.
Whilst having one of the more illustrious careers in rap, and moving such luck onto acting, it could be said that this one was to be expected.
Yet the fact that Cube, who was once one of the meanest rappers in music, is going to be producing the film too, is an intriguing acquisition to say the least.
Cube will be playing the leader of pick-pocketers, Fagan, in the musical adaptation, which might just see the victorian era film have a few bars of Cube's finest.
That being said, the production is supposedly going to have a vast array of musical stylings, which doesn't rule out hip-hop.
So the film being produced by Cube and his friend, Kail, is rather fitting.
Disney are said to have adapted to the 1988 musical version of Oliver & Company, which saw the main character, Oliver Twist, being played by a cat.
The release date is yet to be confirmed, but be prepared for probably the funniest version of Fagin, ever.
