Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have unveiled a new video for 'Magneto' which is taken from their new album, The Skeleton Tree. You can watch it on Gigwise below.

The clip is an excerpt from director Andrew Dominik’s (Chopper, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) unique and highly acclaimed film One More Time With Feeling. The film reveals the trauma Nick Cave and his family are experiencing following the death of their beloved son, Arthur Cave, who tragically passed away aged just 15.

In addition to interviews, a lot of the film is taken up with peformances of songs from the Skeleton Tree album, which due to the vulentability of Cave's lyrics and delivery, is a real tear-jerker.

The clip above is shot in black and white with flickering strobe lights as cameras circle the singer, the scene visually is as bleak as the haunting soundscape.

The musicians surrounding him offer minimalist accompaniment that seems dedicated to emphasising the harrowing mood.

Lyrically, it appears to convey the depression and suffering Cave has gone through, his words revealing the open wounds he still feels.
