More about:

'Obstacle 1' and 'Evil' rockers Interpol have announced European shows to commemorate the 15th anniversary of their 2002 album Turn On the Bright Lights.

Being one of the best rock albums of the 00s it certainly deserves retrospective credit and the tour will see the band performing the album in its entirety. They will perform across Europe including a host of major festivals and play headline shows in Manchester and London.

Of the album being toured, reviewer Andrew Trendell said it's, "Loaded with feeling, confidence and intent" and "We’re still talking about it today, and we’ll talk about it for another 10 years."

This extensive bout of touring, thankfully, does not mean that they're slowing down writing new material. The band are currently working on a new album in New York - it's their sixth album and due out on Matador Records in 2018.

Their fifth album El Pintor saw the band embark on an incredible world tour including a storming show at Brixton Academy with Royal Blood and Temples in support.
