Wakefield's finest indie exports The Cribs are set to be honoured with their own exhibition at their hometown museum later this month. Check out an image from the collection below.
Chants of "Yorkshire!" and "Waaakefield!" were once heard as far away as Worthy Farm, when the Jarman brothers perfomed at Glastonbury Festival. The connection with their hometown has always been part of The Cribs' narrative and charm.
Now, their former stomping ground - which played host to their chaotic and sweaty early shows - will honour the Jarman's with an exhibition of items from the band's career.
"The Cribs are coming to #Wakefield museum for a major exhibition of their work this #February #watchthisspace" said Wakefield Museum.
The announcement was uploaded by the band along with an image from the collection, which shows a beaten-up Fender hanging proud on the museum wall.
No further details have been given as to what to expect from the exhibition, but it's surely a must-see for any die hard Cribs fans out there. Stay tuned.
The Cribs played a huge homecoming show at Leeds' Millenium Square last summer. They were supported by Thurston Moore, Pulled Apart By Horses and Menace Beach. They also took to the main stage at Isle of Wight Festival. Check out our review here
The band's sixth studio album For All My Sisters was released in 2015.
