The War On Drugs have mapped-out a run of UK dates as part of their European tour later this year. See details below.
The Philadelphia band, fronted by Adam Granduciel, recently put out the eleven-minute epic Record Store Day release, 'Thinking Of A Place'. Previously, 2014's Lost In The Dream received high critical acclaim and landed the band a BRIT nomination.
Now - answering our prayers for Springsteen-inspired synth goodness -The War On Drugs will perform once again on UK soil. The tour begins 9 November with two nights at the iconic Barrowlands in Glasgow, before the band stop-off at Manchester Apollo and London's Alexandra Palace.
The band featured in out list of band comebacks to get excited about in 2017. We said it was just "wishful thinking", but here we are.
For the last album, singer Adam Granduciel isolated himself socially and removed himself from many relationships with the sole aim of getting the album released.
Following Lost In The Dream, the band have switched from an indie to major label Atlantic. They have just released an astounding new track called 'Thinking Of A Place' - check it out above.
The full tour dates are as follows. Tickets go on sale 2 May at 10am - keep an eye out for tickets here.
09 November, Glasgow – Barrowlands
10 November, Glasgow – Barrowlands
12 November, Manchester – O2 Apollo
14 November, London – Alexandra Palace
