Marmozets have unveiled their comeback single will be called 'Play' through a series of tweets posted on Tuesday (8 August).
Take the first word from the six tweets posted and it spells out: "Our Next Track Will Be Play". The tweets were referring to appearances on the Reading and Leeds main stage and a UK tour.
The track will feature on their forthcoming second album, which is due at some point in 2017 and follows their acclaimed 2014 debut album.
The band's rise to success hasn't exactly been an overnight one. The West Yorkshire band, made up of are two sets of siblings, have been playing live since 2007 and after a single on Gallows' Venn Recordsm and a self released campaign, signed to Roadrunner Records in 2013. Diligence and hard work has meant they've won hearts both side of the pond for their Paramore-esque sound and visceral live shows.
Their 2014 debut album, The Weird And Wonderful Marmozets, hit number 25 in the UK album charts . Major festival appearances and huge support slots followed; including a very complimentary support slot for Muse on their 'Psycho' tour. But, it seems, Marmozets are only just getting warmed up and are ready to hit new heights.
