More about: Paramore
Tickets to see Grammy award winning pop-rock sensations Paramore on tour in January are on sale now (9am 1 September).
The 'Hard Times' stars will kick off the year in spectacular fashion by beginning their tour in Cardiff on 11 January, followed by dates in London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow. The 02 Arena tickets are available here.
Best known for their infectious melodies that run the gamut of pop, rock, and punk, Paramore’s latest material gained critical plaudits for a tight, energetic sound that’s more reminiscent of Foals’ early math-rock days than Paramore’s own roots in emo.
The Nashville natives are no strangers to the UK, having sold out the O2 and Wembley Arenas in the past. The group’s most recent visit to the UK occurred just last June, with a tour that saw the band play five intimate shows, including a triumphant performance at the historic Royal Albert Hall.
After Laughter, the band’s fifth studio album thus far, hit the UK Top 5, courtesy of three mega-successful singles - 'Hard Times', 'Told You So', and 'Fake Happy'. Their continued success is even more significant in that it comes at the end of a turbulent time for the group, with numerous line-up shifts and departures.
Having made their name, Paramore have garnered extensive kudos from the pop-rock community, earning favorable comparisons to No Doubt courtesy of their triple platinum-certified hit Misery Business, as well as platinum-certified singles 'crushcrushcrush' and 'That’s What You Get'.
Blending eclectic compositions flush with angst-ridden lyrics and crackling pop-infused harmonics, Paramore has accumulated no less than 26 major awards and 63 total nominations in various categories, including “Artist of the Year” at the Alternative Press Music Awards and a Grammy nod for “Best New Artist.” The group capped their accomplishments by taking home the Grammy for “Best Rock Song” in 2015.
