The lineup has been announced for the debut episode of the new series of 'Later… with Jools Holland'.

Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher will perform tracks from his debut solo album ‘As You Were’. No stranger to Holland’s show, back in 2000 Oasis were granted the rare honour of an episode of ‘Later…’ dedicated wholly to them.

Also performing will be Brooklyn’s LCD Soundsystem, promoting their new ‘American Dream’ LP. They will be joined by modish crooner Benjamin Clementine plus Jorja Smith, Nadia Reid and legendary ‘Wichita Lineman’ songwriter and composer Jimmy Webb.

This series marks 51 runs of the popular show. Last series, which aired in April and May, saw performances from Ed Sheeran, Kasabian, Royal Blood, Blondie, Paul Weller, The xx, Haim, and Alt-J.

A shorter, live episode of the show will air at 10pm on Tuesday, 26 September on BBC Two. An hour-long special will air on the Saturday, 30 September at 10.15pm.

Later this month a one-off concert will take place at London’s Royal Albert Hall marking the 25th anniversary of ‘Later…’ with performances from Foo Fighters, Paul Weller, Dizzee Rascal, Gregory Porter, Van Morrison, Songhoy Blues and Jorja Smith.

This will take place on 21 September, with a special episode of the show broadcast on BBC Two on 23 September.

Jools Holland is a justly proud man: ‘It’s fantastic that we’re going to celebrate 25 years of making this show with a special one off event, where all of the workings of the Later experience will be transported into the Royal Albert Hall!’
