Liam Gallagher has announced details of how to get up close and personal with him for an intimate acoustic show at the Union Chapel in London.

The former Oasis and Beady Eye frontman is set to play a special fundraising gig for homeless charity Shelter in the really rather lovely environs of north London’s Union Chapel on 13 December.

The ticketing process is a little different from the usual route. Fans wanting to go to the gig have to enter a ballot to stand a chance of getting their hands on a ticket.

Say the show’s organisers: “There is huge demand for tickets to exclusive events like Shelter’s Christmas gig at Union Chapel. We want to give everyone a fair chance to buy tickets so when you enter the ballot you’ll go into a draw along with everybody else. Should you be chosen, we’ll notify you by Monday 1st October at 10am. If successful tickets cost £40 (plus booking fee) and are limited to 4 per person.”

The younger Gallagher has had a busy year since the release of his debut solo album, As You Were, in October 2017. As well as topping the UK charts, he’s also embarked on a hugely successful UK tour that’s seen him headline both the Alexandra Palace and Finsbury Park. On top of that, he also opened for veteran rockers The Rolling Stones at their triumphant London Stadium gig in May.

He’s also hinted that both he and brother Noel Gallagher will be appearing at next year’s Glastonbury Festival. Not one to miss an opportunity to take a swipe at Noel, he tweeted: “So I hear the beige boy is begging to play Glastonbury he doesn’t want to be going on before or after me as I’ll embarrass him as you were LG.”
