Los Angeles three-piece Mini Mansions have dropped a new single ahead of their UK tour next month.

‘Bad Things (That Make You Feel Good)’ was debuted by Annie Mac on Radio 1 last night, and is the latest single taken from Guy Walks Into A Bar… the band’s upcoming third studio album.

The track is a bouncy 80s throwback that would feel right at home during the band’s regular LA sunsets. Listen to ‘Bad Things (That Make You Feel Good)’ below:

“Sometimes in life we forget to be ourselves and really let loose,” explained vocalist Michael Shuman. “I live my life inspired by two people: Sigmund Freud and Gary Numan. Both adopting the grand idea of the ‘Pleasure Principle’. Our new track ‘Bad Things (That Make You Feel Good)’ is the musical and lyrical marriage of the two greats.”

Shuman, who also plays bass for Queens of the Stone Age, also stepped aside from his usual role of the band’s drummer, with fellow QOTSA bandmate Jon Theodore filling in on the record, and tour dates. Zach Dawes and Tyler Parkford, of The Last Shadow Puppets and Arctic Monkeys respectively, joined the QOTSA duo in LA’s Barefoot Studios to record the album last year.

Guy Walks Into A Bar… will be released on 26 July via Fiction Records, with co-producers Michael Shuman and long-time collaborator Cian Jordan at the helm.

Mini Mansion tour the UK in May, including appearances at London’s Islington Assembly Hall and Brighton’s Great Escape Festival. Full dates can be viewed below.
