‘‘I am a man of the people!" Serge Pizzorno roars over a grinding guitar riff and smooth bassline on new single ‘The Youngest Gary,’ a song that walks the line between grit and gloss. It's a balance that represents The S.L.P’s forthcoming album well.
‘The Youngest Gary’ is an excellent track that’s going to have people at Pizzorno’s feet at festivals. Hear it here:
The S.L.P. will release its eponymous debut album on August 30th on Columbia Records. Recorded and produced by the man himself at his own studio ‘The Sergery’ in Leicester, the project aims to be “this sort of place [Serge] can go and just do whatever.”
After the banger ‘Favourites’ featuring Little Simz and recent house track ‘Nobody Else’, ‘The Youngest Gary’ continues to diverge from Pizzorno’s work with Kasabian.
If you’re interested, catch the S.L.P. in the UK at the following dates below. And if you’re itching to see Serge in the flesh, buy tickets now here.
