And we’re taking a bunch of cool, new bands with us

Gigwise is swanning off stateside to present our first ever SXSW official showcase in association with Songkick and Balance Artists. Taking place on 21 March 2020 at Latitude 30, we’ll be showcasing some of our favourite new bands the UK has to offer.

Topping the bill is London-based quartet King Nun, who recently thrilled a hometown crowd at Boston Music Room. We said: “Live, the atmosphere is compounded by sweat and sticky floors. Kneeling, rolling around on stage and throwing himself high up in the air, frontman Theo Polyzoides is the ideal foil for some of their sadder songs, the embodiment of some of their more upbeat ones."

Welsh wonders Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard will be double denim hopping onto Latitude 30’s stage and they’ll also be joined by recent Hello Tomorrow inductees Weird Milk. Elsewhere on the line-up there are appearances from Childcare, who we proclaimed are “primed and ready for the big time”, Hotel Lux (“if you’re not crying “twistaaaah of the truth” with pint in hand then you’re better off not singing at all”) and China Bears, who will be sure to provide “an exquisitely-riffed journey”.
