For those previously acquainted with the post-punk scene that seems to have shrouded many an independent venue in a fog of mosh pit sweat over the last couple of years, you might want to perk up those tinnitus-plagued ears to this new release.

On ‘Naughty On My Bike’, Public Body bemoan the overpriced slog of public transport, instead choosing to squeeze through traffic jams and skipping the lights on two wheels. So naughty! This track is catnip for anyone who loves a tightly-wound post-punk banger - with propulsive drums, erratic guitar and definitive delivery all present and correct. Tune in below:

Not ones for conjuring up elaborate narratives out of thin air, it seems getting from A to B can provide sufficient lyrical inspiration for Public Body. By dragging lyrics from the most mundane corners of our daily life, Public Body are able to coalesce the masses through writing with caustic wit about the monotonous tasks that plague the lives of many. This track is for those who miss the bus by one minute, and so must wait 43 minutes for the next. It’s for those Sunday rail replacement services that take you on an hour’s detour. It’s for those missed connections and pissing rain walks home. The solution? Hop on yer bike, mate!
