More about:

Nancy combine the frenetic fun of New Wave with the pop ingenuity of Lady Gaga on their latest single 'Call Me On Your Telephone'. It's one of those any-era bangers that'll get constant play at the New Wave disco.

Cartoonish guitars, the ever-present cowbell and squiggly synths make this one of those songs that could easily have been released in 1980, 1990, 2000 or 2010. As it happens, the release date of this one is 2020 and Nancy are taking New Wave into the future.

Old school telephones ring behind the screw-y krautrock foreground and the new romanticism of that high drama vocal.

On the new cut, Nancy said: "'Call Me On Your Telephone' is a personal ode to new wave and the genius of Bowie and David Byrne. Like me, it's chaotic, shambolic and fuckin' bonkers."

It's the first part of a new instalment from Nancy: the Happy Oddities EP arrives later this suymmer on B3SCI Records.
