A huge, 24-hour intitiative to support independent labels has been announced. A collaboration between Independent Label Market and Bandcamp, Friday 3 July will see Bandcamp host an exclusive online event looking to prop up 110 global labels.

The global online label market - the first of its kind - will run for a full day, with all sales going straight back into the indie labels showcasing. Independent Label Market will also host a line-up of DJs and artists on their Facebook all day.

Labels involved in the market are UK indies Bella Union, Heavenly Recordings and Lucky Number, as well as twelve from the USA, ten from France, two from Turkey and one from Ghana. They'll all be selling exclusives, limited editions, signed records and discounts at the event site for the full 24-hour period.

The event follows a series of fee waive days from Bandcamp, which have successfully helped musicians all over the world recoup some of the money they have lost due to the pandemic.
