More about: Guru

Barrelling guitars and drums hold up a bit of a Johnny Rotten turn for frontman Tommy Cherrill. He's yelping and furious; incoherent at times and crystal clear in others. It's got all of the adrenaline, mosh pit-inducing energy you'd want from this kind of track, and enough of the vintage in there to keep the country's original punks interested too.

Decribing the new cut, Cherrill said: “Roses is about the uphill struggle of trying to get anything done when you're at the bottom of the pecking order, whilst simultaneously knowing you don't want to be anything like the people at the top."
We've had our eyes on Guru since they popped onto the scene in 2018. In last year's brutalist double A-side, we saw "catnip for those who love a grit-your-teeth-it’s-so-intense-glare and good ol’ mosh."
With this latest release they're gearing well up for a return to the mosh pit.
