More about:

Still very much a beating heart of the rock scene, Bon Jovi have today announced all the details of their forthcoming sixteenth studio album. A new single is available to hear now too: 'Do What You Can' is classic feel-good rock from the OGs.

Titled 2020, the record will arrive on Island this October: a later date than it's original schedule. As it's title points out, the album is very much a moment in time, focusing on the issues we're looking at this year (including the looming American election...)

'Do What You Can', released today, is one of two songs added by Jovi following the onset of the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement. 'American Reckoning', also out now, focuses on the death of George Floyd, while the new cut is more of a hopeful rejoiner to a world in lockdown.

Originally set for release in May, 2020 will now arrive in October alongside those two extra, extra-relevant singles. “I am a witness to history,” said Jon Bon Jovi. “I believe the greatest gift of an artist is the ability to use their voice to speak to issues that move us.”

Only as powerful as the fans who idolise him, Bon Jovi asked his audience to help him write the lyrics for 'Do What You Can'. As a result, it's an amalgamation of all of those experiences. Lovely.
