The Road to The Great Escape - a live music showcase that leads up to the big new music blow-out in Brighton - has been confirmed for 2021. The return of the event will allow many of the line-up's talent to perform in Glasgow and Dublin in ahead of the main festival.

The new Scottish and Irish initiative was supposed to have its debut year in 2020, but it, along with its bigger sister, were cancelled due to the global pandemic. Instead, The Road to The Great Escape will make its debut in 2021.

Rory Bett of MAMA Festivals said “we’re really pleased to announce we will be heading on tour to Glasgow and Dublin to launch our brand new music showcase The Road To The Great Escape in May 2021!"

He confirms that the first taste of The Great Escape 2021 line-up will come this November. Next year's festival will be a belated 15th anniversary celebration for the worldwide new music gathering.

Here are the 15 acts we wanted to see this year...perhaps a fair amount of them will be playing next year too. We await the line-up announcements with excitement!

The Great Escape 2021 will take place in Brighton on12-15 May 2021. The Road to The Great Escape will take place in Glasgow on 8-9 May and Dublin on 10-11 May. Early Bird Festival Tickets and Delegate Passes start from £70 and are on sale now here.
