More about: Bull
Bull have followed up last month's news that they've signed to EMI with another single - 'Disco Living' is a further insight into the laidback, grunged-out brains of the York four-piece, who have been on the scene since 2011.
Like it's predecesor 'Green', 'Disco Living' takes the bright 'n' beautiful parts of the Pumpkins and blows them up to cartoonishly nineties proportion. Fuzzy guitars and West Coast vocals add luscious SoCal vibe to the proceedings.
The visuals are just as carefree: shots of air dancers doing their thing, finished up with the band doing their best impressions of the noodly fellas.
"I was walking down a street of mansions to meet my friend in Hampstead Heath. I walked past one mansion which was under construction and it had a facade of the completed house on the front with the extremely bold tag line, ‘Discover Effortless Living’. I thought this was really funny so wrote the song with that as the opening line, kind of about that and how absurd it all was" the band explain.
The song follows July's 'Green', which we called "Americana grunge mixed with nineties pop".
