Two Main Stages and six headliners are heading up the news

Reading & Leeds have this evening (31 August) announced the first slew of names who will be appearing at the event in 2021. After this year’s cancellation due to Covid-19, the festival have laid the foundation for next year’s event to be the biggest yet, with the introduction of another Main Stage and three extra headliners across the weekend. 

Stormzy, Liam Gallagher and Post Malone will headline the 2021 edition, as well as new additions Queens of the Stone Age, Catfish And The Bottlemen and Disclosure. All six acts will perform across two Main Stages from 27 - 29 August 2021. 

Also in the first announcement Lewis Capaldi and AJ Tracey have been confirmed to play. Doja Cat, Mabel and Two Door Cinema Club will also appear across the weekend. It marks a bold return for the event who naturally had to postpone this year due to Coronavirus, who have also promised no clashes on either of the Main Stages during the weekend. 

Speaking about next year’s event, Melvin Benn (Managing Director, Festival Republic) says, “After an absence of a year we are delighted to announce the 2021 return to Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Leeds’ Bramham Park in 2021 with our most epic plan yet. Two main stages, six headliners, the best line up of acts 2021 will see and 200,000 fans are going to celebrate the best music in the best music festivals in Britain.”

Reading and Leeds takes place from 27-29 August 2020. Tickets for the event go on sale on Thursday 3 September 2020.
