Independent Venue Week, which will take place in January, will release its special compilation record tomorrow (11 December). Featuring live tracks by nine artists at five different UK venues, it's covered by artwork from legendary Bristol gig-goer Big Jeff.

Sleaford Mods' rendition of 'Tweet Tweet Tweet' live from The 100 Club will feature on the record alongside 'Swimming Pool' performed by Anna Calvi at Rough Trade East and 'She Reigns' from Self Esteem at Sheffield's Leadmill.

This year's IVW ambassador Anna Calvi said that "experiences in small venues were so formative for me. All artists, no matter how big or small, must be vocal about the vitality of independent venues to our culture and support in any way we can to ensure they live on."
