The LP will be the artist's third
Precocious singer songwriter Billie Marten's new track, 'Garden of Eden' is a wistful and artless delight. The opening track of her newly-announced album Flora Fauna, it's accompanied by a video directed by Lydia Poole that overlays images of the natural and man-made in the same way that the song's production overlays Marten's exquisitly controlled voice and orchestration.
Marten describes the song thus, "I liked the idea of humans growing up like tomatoes in the greenhouse, needing water and oxygen and space, but not getting any of it."
