Australia’s Methyl Ethel have returned today with their divinely weird new single ‘Neon Cheap’ following the announcement that they have just signed with Future Classic.

Consistently unexpected, ‘Neon Cheap’ moves effortlessly from sampling an Italian folk song to an addictive electro-pop chorus without a second thought.

Methyl Ethel will no doubt be a treasured part of the festival scene with this new era of eccentric pop offerings.

Jake Webb, Australian musician and the brains behind Methyl Ethel, explains what inspired ‘Neon Cheap’:

“Picture yourself scrolling, mind-numbingly at 3am. Now, instead of scrolling, you’re traipsing some Vegas-like strip. All the events and people you’d normally read about are there as you walk around, inoculated, casually observing. For me, this is ‘Neon Cheap.’”
