Sam Fender, one of the finest singer-songwriters to emerge from the UK in a long time, has announced his second album Seventeen Going Under. Coming in October via Polydor, it gets its title track and opening song today.

It's hard to believe it's been almost two years since Hypersonic Missiles dropped - an album we called "unabashed and anthemic". Thankfully, we don't have long to wait for Seveteen Going Under - it arrives on 8 October via Polydor.

"This album is a coming of age story. It’s about growing up. It’s a celebration of life after hardship, and it’s a celebration of surviving" Sam said of the album, which was recorded in his hometown of North Shields.
