More about: The Mysterines
Liverpool’s The Mysterines have today shared the music video for their most recent single ‘In My Head’. Inspired by film noir, the new video adds further intrigue to an already well-loved track. It is taken from their upcoming debut album, produced with Catherine Marks.
‘In My Head’ is the kind of track that becomes an instant favourite, a perfect introduction to The Mysterines if you haven’t heard them before. The music video showcases a band with impeccable creative vision, with all the intensity and mystery that the song deserves. Vocalist and guitarist Lia Metcalfe spoke about the track here:
“‘In My Head’ appears to be a love song, but that was not the original intention. I did want it to superficially be seen as that, but in reality it's a song about people who struggle with their mental health. Partly autobiographical, it’s about how sometimes life can feel like you’re being haunted by something out of your control.”
The Mysterines have been working on their debut album throughout lockdown, which they described as ‘almost perfect timing’ for an album all about self-destruction.
‘In My Head’ is out now on Fiction Records. The Mysterines will tour the UK later this year:
