Sleigh Bells have announced their sixth album: Texis will follow 2017's Kid Kruschev and drops via Lucky Number in September. 'Locust Laced' is the first single to be taken from the album and is out today.

Joined by a video in which vocalist Alexis Krauss plays a country starlet who appears to be losing her mind, the single stars some relentless metal-inspired riffage combined with Krauss' sweet-as-pie vocals.

“We stopped worrying about whether or not we’re in or out of our comfort zone, or if we were being repetitive or formulaic" the band's Derek Miller said of the album as a whole.
