Chicago’s Bnny have today released their latest single ‘August’, taken from their debut album Everything which arrives next Friday (20 August) on Fire Talk. The newest song captures the feeling of summer nights in Chicago, explain the band.

While there’s definitely a beachy, summer vibe to ‘August’, its intricate details make it so much more than just a summer song. It has a minimalist soundscape with repeated lines throughout to give it that stripped back, beautiful simple feel. Band leader Jess Viscius says that “‘August’ is about fleeting summer nights in the hazy heat of Chicago. It’s about knowing what’s best for you and doing the exact opposite. It’s about the lies we tell ourselves to keep going”.
