Clementine Creevy, aka Cherry Glazerr, is back today with a brand new track following on from recent releases ‘Rabbit Hole’ and ‘Big Bang’. Today's single, ‘Soft Drink’ travels in a more electronic direction, dealing with the stress of opening up to someone.

Electric guitars take a step back throughout the song to give synths the limelight, with Creevy’s effortless, soft vocals dazzling from beginning to end. With unexpected stops and starts towards the end before allowing guitars to take the lead, ‘Soft Drink’ keeps you on your toes.

Clementine Creevy described the process of making ‘Soft Drink’:

“I started with that synth line. It just popped into my head while I was driving and I like frantically recorded it into my voice memos while driving to the beach kind of down by Hermosa and Manhattan beach. I was randomly obsessed with the song ‘Naive’ by The Kooks and kind of listening to it a lot, and I think that sound crept in a little. The song is about yearning for some validation. Sometimes all you need is company and you’re not looking for anything specific, just someone to dance with. It was a lonely year obviously haha.”
