Baxter Dury has returned with a new song and some exciting news. 'D.O.A' today announces Mr. Maserati, a Twnety Year Best Of compilation from everybody's favourite British Serge Gainsbourg,
And before you ask: yes, Baxter has plenty of good'uns fit to fill a Best Of record. For starters, 'Miami'—the song from which the compilation's title is taken—will be its opener. You'll be able to hear it alongside Gigwise faves like 'Cocaine Man' and 'Oscar Brown' from Baxter's underrated 2002 debut Len Parrot's Memorial Lift.

On 'D.O.A', which will be the last track on Mr. Maserati, Baxter said: “It’s a kind of provincial nod to the music I got into during lockdown because my son Kosmo was playing it – Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator and Kendrick Lamar. I became obsessed. They’re embracing everything – sexuality, politics, all of it – and I find that inspiring”.
