Brand new talent klaxon! Orchid, a young new singer-songwriter has penned a single that sounds like if Ariana Grande took a few more production risks. Truly, this is an absolute face-melter of a pop song.

The matching video is just as cool: filmed on a fairground, it shows Orchid performing the song and was filmed on an old Nokia phone. 

“I was like 'why don't we just speed the track up halfway and make it work?'” Orchid says of that mid-song speed-up. “And I think it really captures the journey of the song, moving through so many different feelings in a whirlwind."
