Red Telephone, a new indie proposition from Cardiff, have shared another new single today, the sinister 'I'm Broken'. Their first single of the year, 'I'm Broken' is a chillier side to the Welsh rock band.

There are tones of Depeche Mode, The Last Shadow Puppets and Joy Division on 'I'm Broken', which is the first of three singles to be released from a forthcoming debut album.

Singer Dec Andrews said of the single: “The song is influenced by the dark and brooding sound of the Bowie/Iggy Pop collaborations in Berlin." Even their band name has links with these inspireations: “Red Telephone was influenced by a song of the same name by ‘Love’, on their album ‘Forever Changes’, as well as the dystopian imagery of the infamous Cold War hotline.”
