Iceland Airwaves—the world's most northerly new music showcase—has announced its return for early November and dropped its first line-up news. Fourteen acts have been announced so far, including Amyl and the Sniffers, who wrote our third favourite album of the year in 2021. 

Arlo Parks, Metronomy, Crack and local legends Daughters of Reykjavik have also been revealed.

Arny Margret, Alex Flóvent, Eydís, Evensen, FLOTT, gugusar, HAM, LÓN, superserious and ZÖE complete today's announcement. 

The pandemic has scuppered Iceland Airwaves for three whole years and its return is much anticipated.

Iceland Aiwaves takes place 3-5 November in various venues in Reykjavík. Tickets.
