Berry Galazka has announced a brand new EP titled Leash. It gets its lead single in the form of 'Woke Up, Chose Violence' today, a deceptively sweet-sounding pop-punk song imbued with a good dose of violence.

There's a whole new persona to Berry on this new project: she's started donning a Babushka and enthusing about art on TikTok. A surrealist concept EP, Leash will extrapolate on Salvador Dalí's Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee Around a Pomegranate a Second Before Awakening.

'Woke Up, Chose Violence' is dedicated to the pomegranate in the painting.

Speaking on the painting by Dali, Berry said: "It's extremely captivating. It always stuck with me how he visualized the sensation of being ripped out of a dream as the subconscious mind protects Gala from the bee sting. As I wrote each song over months the tie in of all the 'icons' relating to each song revealed itself to me. I still find so many different meanings within this painting.”
