More about:

It’s been a rollercoaster for The Lathums as within the space of just a couple of years they’ve gone from playing pub stages to headlining festivals. Showing absolutely no signs of stepping away from this trajectory, the band have just today released killer new single ‘Say My Name’ as well as making multiple other announcements.

Let’s start with the single. This is an excellent example of indie rock as the delivery of the lyrics throughout the track are really lovely to listen to, but they are done against a backdrop of distorted guitar and wah-pedals. The Lathums have clearly developed a new level of confidence in their writing ability and as such are happy to be more unhinged and freer in their production and creative ability than ever before.

“’Say My Name’ is a more recent song and, like everything we seem to do, has profound personal meanings.” Said Alex Moore in a recent interview, “It’s a conversation with someone who has gone, with them speaking to the person who is alive, saying the things that they want to hear.”

The single comes out ahead of new album ‘From Nothing To A Little Bit More’ which is set for release on Friday 24th February. If the first single is anything to go by then this second offering by The Lathums may be the most exciting that we have ever heard them.

The band have been out touring a great deal this year, doing a string of intimate shows and also providing support for Kasabian. After their new album goes on sale, they will be further expanding upon their live show, announcing their longest run of tour dates yet. It will take place throughout March 2023 and will see The Lathums travel to Liverpool, Sheffield, London and more.

New single ‘Say My Name’ is out now. Tickets for The Lathums 2023 tour go on sale on Thursday 3rdNovember.
