As the launch of the 2023 Great Escape First Fifty kicks off tonight, the festival have revealed all the names that make up the start of next year’s lineup! Celebrating some of the major success stories of the festival, the lineup as always is a feast of upcoming talent with some big names sprinkled in for good measure.

Headlining the spotlight shows in Brighton Dome on the Friday and Saturday, Maisie Peters and Arlo Parks are shiny examples of Great Escape finds firing straight to the top. With Arlo Parks making her festival debut in only 2019, her return with a mercury award and top debut album in tow feels like a big boost of optimism shining down on all the other acts.

Having previously announced a host of hot ones to watch as part of the launch, including Nell Mescal, Seraphina Simone, She’s In Parties, Sarah Kinsley and more, the lineup was already looking great. Now adding some of our favourite upcoming acts, including Blondshell and Terra Kin, we’re already trying to fast forward to may next year.
