More about: cruush
Let's be honest, it’s been a little while since the Manchester music scene last had a moment. Taking its sweet time to shake off the shackles of the all-male indie bands, we’ve been being patient. And we think cruush might have finally broken the drought.
The shoegaze quartet return today with ‘Sombre By The Weekend’, a track that merges pure, out-right shoegaze with heavier and catchier guitars. Resulting in something endlessly listable that cuts through the noise that the genre can sometimes derail into. In a neat 3:35 minute package, cruush seem so settled into their sound now, continuing to grow without compromising the vision that pricked our ears on ‘False Start’.
Also announcing they’ve signed on the dotted line to join the Mancunian Heist Or Hit family - this is definitely only the start for the band.
‘Sombre By The Weekend’ is out now.
