The artist that started a bidding war after a live video of her singing ‘Kiss City’ randomly blew up - Blondshell has officially signed on the dotted line! Joining the Partisan family with label siblings including Fontaines, John Grant and Laura Marling, new track ‘Veronica Mars’ feels like a mission statement and she’s ready for lift off.

Similar to ‘Kiss City’ and ‘Sepsis’, Blondshell really seems to have mastered the art of the slow build, big-boom track as it crawls towards its crescendo. Inspired by the 00s teen show, it tackles pop culture and the way it’s pushed onto us from near birth, weaving teeny pop refrences in with nods to the 60s and her signature 90s spattered sound.

As one of the first five names for our 23 for 2023 list, Blondshell seems to be a universal one to watch, quickly catapulting to the top and gathering a bigger legion of fans with every track. Now with label backing and a UK and EU tour planned - seems like there’s no stopping her!
