Sometimes you hear a song that strips you bear and exposes you to vulnerability more so than anything else in the world could. Songs that seem almost dreamlike in their existence, that can reduce you to a sense of infancy and decay. That’s exactly what you get when you listen to the new single by Indigo De Souza, ‘Younger & Dumber’.

‘Younger & Dumber’ sounds like the soundtrack to epiphany in an artsy drama. With slow piano and guitar accompanying the controlled fragility of Indigo De Souza’s voice, in this new song you get the raw and emotional telling of being human.

Or as she puts it, “’Younger and Dumber is a flood beam of my emotional and spiritual human experience. My growing up defeated by a world brutally littered with trash, violence and grief, and somehow finding beauty, purpose, and boundless love existing in the same place. The song felt really emotionally intense for me when I wrote it.”

The song comes out as Indigo De Souza also announces the release of a new album. ‘All of This Will End,’ which is set to be released in April. It promises to be equally as raw as the lead single. “All of This Will End,” she said, “feels more true to me than anything ever has.”

Indigo will also be heading out on a headline tour which will see her go all over the states, including to SXSW.
