More about:

2023 marks the ten-year anniversary of a number of iconic albums for bands that went on to have prosperous careers. One of those bands is punk sensations and titans of the genre for a lot of people now in their mid-20’s, FIDLAR, who have just announced that they will be releasing a new EP in March, along with a brand new single ‘Centipede.’

The song sees FIDLAR stay true to the style that people came to know and love. It’s heavy and heartfelt, appropriate for a shower and a dancefloor. The single is going to appear on a new EP set for release on 17thMarch, ‘That’s Life.’

The story behind the EP is interesting. Like many of us, throughout 2020, the band were trying to find light in dark times and in doing so, went on a caravanning trip around the likes of Mexico and Hawaii getting S-Thompson-style tipsy on drugs. During a DMT ceremony in Lake Powell, the initial foundation for the new EP was born, finding place in the world through a shared ‘fuck it’ to shit times.

As well as releasing new music, the band are also going to be heading out on an extended tour. It will take them across America and also to New Zealand and Australia. Given it’s ten years since FIDLAR’s first album, it’s nice to see that they can still make music which stays true to the sound that fans know and love but that also embraces development.
