To say it’s been a good few years for Bella Shmurda would be an understatement. Last year he released his debut single ‘Hypertension’ which managed to rack up millions upon millions of streams and also led to the birth of some of his recent hit singles. Now, there is apparently no time to rest, as he announces his newest EP, ‘DND’ which will be out later in July.

To accompany the announcement of the new EP, Bella has also released a brand-new single of the same name. If the track acts as any kind of insight to what we can expect from the EP then it’s clear that the trajectory Bella set himself on last year is going to continue. It’s a fun and funky track with excellent lyricism and melody throughout, truly a joy to listen to.

There is no escaping the fact that this track offers the perfect soundscape for Bella’s music as it’s the perfect fusion of both afrobeats and amapiano which creates something truly exciting. The theme of the song talks about love and Bella not wanting to divert any attention away from his leading lady.

“Rewardbeatz crafted the instrumental,” said Bella, “and recorded a demo in the studio with Lil Kesh. Kesh then sent the draft to me to check it out and see if I liked the track. I listened to it and immediately started recording what I was feeling at the moment, and that’s how ‘DND’ was born. The song perfectly captures my current headspace, where I don’t want to be disturbed, while I do things my own way.”

Fans don’t have to wait long for the new EP as it comes out later in July, but until then they can busy themselves with this exciting new single.
