Welsh singer Duffy has held on to the top of the UK singles charts for a second week with her debut single, ‘Mercy’.
The song is expected to continue to do well this week when it is released on CD and vinyl formats.
Elsewhere, both the album and singles charts received a boost from the BRIT Awards, which took place in London last Wednesday.
The biggest mover was the winner of Best British male, Mark Ronson, whose album ‘Version’ climbed eighteen spots to number four in the charts.
Amy Winehouse’s second album ‘Back To Black’ also benefited from her performance at the ceremony last week, climbing eleven places to three.
The top spot in the album charts is currently held by The Feeling, whose second album, ‘Join With Us’, debuts at number one this week.
