Female artists look set to dominate ceremony...

Estelle looks set to dominate this year's Music of Black Origin (Mobo) Awards after picking up five nominations.


The singer leads the way in the Best Song, Best Album, Best Video, Best R&B/soul and Best female categories.

But she can expect competition from former X-Factor winner Leona Lewis who has also been shortlisted for Best Video, Best UK Female and Best Album.

Duffy, M.I.A and Adele also picked up Best UK Female nods.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Dizzee Rascal, Sway, Wiley, Jay Sean and Tai Cruz are all nominated for Best Male.

The Mobo awards will be hosted by Spice Girl Mel B and Run DMC founder Rev Run at London's Wembley Arena on October 15th.
