- More Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse has been summoned to appear in a Norwegian court over her appeal against a drugs fine.
The singer, her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, and another man were arrested by police outside a Bergen hotel in October 2007.
They were found to be in possession of seven grams of marijuana, police said.
Prosecutor Rudolf Christoffersen told the Associated Foreign Press news agency the singer is expected in court when the trial opens on January 12th.
Visa Trouble
Winehouse was released by police after she agreed to pay a £294 fine, but the singer later contested the penalty after it emerged that under Norwegian law she had effectively admitted to the charges.
A drugs charge would make it difficult for the singer to obtain work visas to perform in foreign countries in the future.
Winehouse and her husband had been due to appear in court in Norway in March but the case was postponed following Fielder-Civil’s imprisonment in the UK.
"Her husband has already been summoned. We were just waiting for her to receive her summons," Christoffersen said.
Fielder-Civil is currently serving a 27-month prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to assault and perverting the course of justice.
Meanwhile, Winehouse has spent the Christmas season on a family holiday in the Caribbean.
