- More Chris Brown
Chris Brown has reportedly hired Mel Gibson's PR agent to help limit his career damage following his arrest for allegedly assaulting Rihanna.
The 19-year-old is already facing the possibility of a jail term if found guilty of making criminal threats in a heated argument with Rihanna in the early hours of February 8.
His career is also likely to take a severe knocking whether found guilty or not, so Brown has taken steps to salvage his reputation by hiring Alan Nierob.
The publicist helped keep Gibson's career on tracks when he was arrested for DUI in 2006 and accused of making anti-Semitic remarks to the police officer.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Brown released an official statement on Sunday apologising for the alleged attack.
He said: "Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person.”
