Michael Jackson 'To Ride African Elephant At Comeback Gigs'

Michael Jackson has asked to arrive on stage on top of an African elephant at his comeback shows in London, according to reports.

The singer is said to be planning an elaborate jungle section, which also include a panther, three monkeys and a 100 Masai warriors.

"He hopes to make it the most spectacular gig ever,” a source told The Daily Mirror newspaper.

“For the jungle section, he wants to ride out on an African elephant with panthers led on gold chains. Parrots and other birds will fly behind him. If it goes to plan it will look incredible."

Organisers are apparently concerned that Jackson's plans could break animal welfare laws.

Jackson's 50 shows at the O2 Arena, which begin on July 8th, have already sold out.

The singer will perform to over a million people during his London residency, which will run into 2010.

Jackson, now 50, has not performed a full concert since he was cleared of child molestation charges in 2005. His last full tour, entitled HIStory, took place in 1996 and '97.
