Michael Jackson's funeral won't be finalised until the results of the star's second autopsy are published, his father has said.
Joseph Jackson said that some elements of his son's funeral would be private but “not closed down all the way to the public”.
Although no confirmed funeral details have emerged, it has been claimed that, if televised, the ceremony could become the most watched event in history.
Jackson's father said yesterday that despite media reports the star would not be buried at his former home in Neverland.
The Jackson family called for a second and independent autopsy because they still have questions about the singer's death.
Last Friday the Los Angeles Coroner's office said an initial post mortem showed there was no foul play or external trauma involved in Jackson's death.
But after a three hour examination of the star’s body doctors deferred cause of death while they await the results of further tests.
The toxicology test results could take up to six weeks.
Jackson died last Thursday at his home in Los Angeles of a suspected cardiac arrest. He was 50.
