Glastonbury Festival are asking visitors to their official website whether flags should be banned at the event.
The opinion-gauging poll comes days after Download Festival revealed it would be following in Reading Festival's footsteps and banning flags from the main arena of the site.
At the time of writing this, over 8,000 votes have been cast on the Glastonbury website and the results are pretty split.
49.93% of people would like to ban flags at Worthy Farm, while 50.07% want the flags to stay.
You can have your say on the Glastonbury website now.
What are your thoughts on flags at Glastonbury? Post your comments below:
- Trying to watch Blur last year they were really starting to piss me off. I say GET RID!
- they get in everyones way !
- I remember seeing the I love sausage banner last year. I think it was an anti vegetarian message, or possibly a mocking insult to gay people.
- flags add atmosphere they should always be there
- Flags directly in front of the Stage SHOULD BE BANNED, why should childish Muppets seeking attention “Ooooo look at me with the Massive Flag blocking everybodies view” block the view for those behind!............ It’s not the festival Ethos of “Peace and Love”. Grow up and think about everybody else (Who have also Paid top dollar) and would actually like to see something on the Stage. I have no problems with flags in general, sure they make it easier to find your tent and meet up with people....
