Metric guitarist Jimmy Shaw has said it was a “truly fascinating” experience working on The Twilight Saga: Eclispe.
The Canadian band wrote the title track to the third movie in the vampire franchise, which stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
In an interview with Gigwise, Shaw said the project had opened new doors for the band.
“To be thrust into one of the biggest things that's happened in the last decade or two was fascinating,” Shaw told Gigwise.
“Just to see how these companies operate, and the way the companies are dealing with the film, it was an amazing experience for me.
“I've never written music for anything on that kind of scale before so just as a life experience it was truly fascinating and I wouldn't have given it up for anything.”

When asked if he had any knowledge of the previous films, Shaw replied: “We knew of its existence before - I've seen part of one.
“It's hard to not know of it's existence. If you walk 20ft from here you'll see some reference of its existence.”
A song by Metric also appears on the soundtrack to the new Michael Cera film, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.
