Adele Denies Jennifer Lopez UK Album Chart Number One Spot

Adele has retained the number one position on the UK album chart with ’21’.

The album outsold its nearest rival, Fleet Foxes’ ‘Helplessness Blues’, by over 70%.

The Seattle band’s second effort settled for number two, while Adele’s debut ‘19’ fell one place to number three.
 
There were two other new entries in the top-10, with Jennifer Lopez going straight in at number six with ‘Love’ and Beastie Boys’ ‘Hot Sauce Committee Part Two’ also breaking into the countdown.

Meanwhile, on the singles chart, LMFAO stayed at number one for a fourth week with ‘Party Rock Anthem’.

David Guetta’s ‘Where Them Girls At’ featuring Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj went straight in at number three, according to the Official Charts Company.

Jessie J’s ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ climbs to number nine from number 18.
